Student Reps

I’m an MSc FinTech student, and I’m running to be your Student Life & Communities Officer for 2026–2027.

My Focus Project

What should students know about you?

I’m an MSc FinTech student, and I’m running to be your Student Life & Communities Officer for 2026–2027. I represent students who know that university life is about more than lectures and deadlines. As a student living away from home, I understand how overwhelming it can be to balance studies, part-time work, finances, wellbeing, and building a sense of belonging. I care deeply about making sure students feel supported, heard, and part of a strong community at Exeter.

What experiences and skills make you the best candidate for the role?

Founding and leading a student society has given me hands-on experience in building communities, listening to students, organising activities, and turning feedback into action. I’m organised, approachable, and confident representing others. My ability to communicate clearly, collaborate with different groups, and balance responsibilities prepares me well to advocate effectively for students and support inclusive communities.

How would you ensure you effectively represent all students in the role?

I would represent students by actively listening and engaging with a wide range of voices, not just the most visible ones. This means being approachable, working closely with societies and student groups, using surveys and open forums to gather feedback, and regularly communicating outcomes. I would make sure student experiences shape decisions and that students feel heard, respected, and represented.

Working In Partnership

Thanks To You X Love Exeter

We’re working side-by-side with the University to make sure your voice leads to action. Together, we’ve already improved things that matter to you, and we’re not stopping here. There’s more to do, we’ll keep lobbying the University to make sure they keep listening.
