
The Guild Awards is a chance to celebrate those who have made this year unforgettable. If someone’s impressed you, inspired you, or just absolutely smashed it, now’s the time to recognise them!
Nominations are open from 19 January – 13 February, with the awards ceremony taking place on Thursday 19 March in the Great Hall. Shortly after nominations close, the shortlist will be announced, and all shortlisted nominees will receive an exclusive invitation to the ceremony. Trust us, you’ll want to save the date.
All University of Exeter students are eligible for nominations, including societies, sports clubs, academic reps, student-run campaigns - everyone! So what are you waiting for? Read through the awards descriptions and get nominating.

Recognising the achievements of an individual, academic rep/department officer team, or society that has contributed to the academic experience. This award is for those who have overcome difficulties, made change or have been outstanding at enhancing the academic experience.
This could be demonstrated by:

Recognising those that have worked together to achieve something exceptional. This award celebrates a student or students who have effectively worked across different groups or teams to achieve a common goal. This could be demonstrated by:

Recognising the achievements or contribution of an individual committee member or committee as a whole. This award is for those who perhaps have overcome difficulties, have made a real difference to their members and increased the impact of their group.
This could be demonstrated by:
Recognising those individuals, societies, projects or rep teams that have had a positive, radically inclusive and meaningful impact on a wider community. For this award, community could be the student community here at Exeter or a local, national or international community. This could be demonstrated by:
Celebration of a community through a project, event or campaign

This award celebrates an initiative, event, or project that has created opportunities for personal growth and empowerment. It focuses on fostering resilience, building confidence, developing new skills, and supporting students to thrive. This award highlights those who inspire and enable others to achieve their full potential.

Recognising a brilliant event organised by an individual, society, project or rep team. This award is for an innovative and engaging event or project that had a big impact on attendees. This could be demonstrated by:


Recognising those that are encouraging wider participation and helping to dismantle barriers. This award is about equity, equality, inclusion, diversity and liberation work and those that have worked to break down structural inequality.

Recognising those that have sought to improve the postgraduate experience by creating community, lobbying for change or enhancing a particular aspect of postgraduate student life. This could be demonstrated by:

Recognising those who drive meaningful, positive change. This award celebrates and honours those who challenge the status quo, inspire others, and implement innovative solutions that create lasting impact.
