Improve your wellbeing with Exeter’s Peer Support Groups

At the University of Exeter, fostering a sense of belonging and connection is at the heart of student life. We understand that university can be a time of immense change, growth, and sometimes challenges. Finding others who share similar experiences can make all the difference. This is where Exeter’s peer support groups step in—offering a safe space to connect, share, and support each other.

 Eating Difficulties Peer Support Group

If you're struggling with body image or eating difficulties, the Eating Difficulties Peer Support Group provides a friendly, non-judgmental space for all students. No formal diagnosis is required—just a desire to connect with others who understand your struggles. The group meets weekly and runs various awareness initiatives on social media.

 Chronic Health Peer Support

The Chronic Health Peer Support Group is a student-led support group to help those struggling with any type of chronic, physical condition (one that is persistent or recurring). It is a safe and non-judgmental space to allow people to talk openly about their struggles and meet other people who might be experiencing the same things. The sessions are facilitated by trained student volunteers. The group meets on a Tuesday, bi-weekly 18:30 – 19:30 in the Marchant Syndicate Room A (Business School).
