June is Pride month, a time for celebrating queer diversity in gender and sexuality, making space to recognise the presence and importance of our queer community as a society. From queer authors to LGBTQ+ fiction and biographies of key members in the community, find out about the variety of books you can read using the resources linked below!

 

1. The Picture of Dorian Gray, by Oscar Wilde (Project Gutenberg, eBook)

An influential queer author, poet and playwright of the 19th century, Oscar Wilde was an openly gay man, and this book carries strong homosexual subtext.

 

2. Forging Queer Leaders, by Bree Fram and Liz Cavallaro (MyCalibre, audiobook)

This audiobook draws on personal experiences of queer people in leadership roles in a variety of career paths, showing how it is possible to overcome prejudices and excel in the workplace.
