By entering our Welcome Giveaway on Instagram, you are agreeing to these terms and conditions. The giveaway is being run by the University of Exeter Students’ Guild (hereafter known as the Students’ Guild).

Eligibility to enter

• The giveaway is only open to those who enter on Instagram with the correct requirements: like the post, follow @exeterguild on Instagram, and tag a friend in the comments of the giveaway post.
• Entrants for the giveaway must be registered to the University of Exeter as a current student, and have valid student ID to prove this.
• In entering the giveaway, you confirm that you are eligible to do so and eligible to claim any giveaway prize you may win.
• You must be 18 or over to claim prizes involving alcohol.
• The prize draw is free to enter.

How to enter

• The giveaway will only include those individuals who have followed the entry requirements before the closing date.
• To enter, the individual must: like the giveaway post, tag a friend in the comments of the giveaway post, and follow the @exeterguild and @guildofficers account on Instagram.
• As a bonus entry, individuals can also follow the accounts that have provided prizes for the giveaway.
• The Students’ Guild will not accept responsibility if contact details provided are incomplete or inaccurate.

The prize

• The winners of the giveaway will be drawn at random and giveaway prizes will be allocated to each winner at random.
• The Students’ Guild’s use of particular brands as prizes does not imply any affiliation with or endorsement of such brands, or reflect the views of the Students' Guild.
• The prizes are non-exchangeable, non-transferable and no cash alternatives will be offered.
• We reserve the right to substitute prizes with another prize of equal or higher value if circumstances beyond our control make it necessary to do so.
• The decision of the Students’ Guild regarding any aspect of the giveaway is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into about it.

Winner announcement

• The winner will be notified via our Students' Guild Instagram on the week commencing Monday 29 September 2026.

Receipt of the prize

• Physical prizes must be collected in person from the Guild Reception in Devonshire House, Streatham. Winners must show valid student ID and the Instagram DM from the Students' Guild in order to collect the prize.
• For digital prizes, we will ask for the winner to provide us their email for the Students' Guild or a third party who are providing the prize to contact you with prize details. If we need to provide your email to a third party, we will inform you and ask for your consent before passing your details over.
• The Students’ Guild will not accept responsibility if contact details provided are incomplete or inaccurate.

Date Protection and publicity

• You consent to any personal information you provide in entering the prize draw being used by the Students’ Guild for the purposes of administering the giveaway, and for those purposes as defined within our privacy notice. This may include passing on your name and email address to a third party who are processing prizes externally from the Students' Guild.
• An announcement of the winners will be posted on our Instagram and this will include your social media handle that you entered the giveaway with.
• Upon collecting any physical prizes, we may ask for a photo of the winner with their prize. We will only post this photo on social media channels with the written consent of the winner.
• All personal information shall be used in accordance with the Students’ Guild privacy notice.

Limitation of Liability

• The Students’ Guild does not provide any form or practical or IT support for this prize. On receipt, all responsibilities relating to warranty and the product are that of the prize winner.

General

• The Students’ Guild reserves the right to cancel the giveaway or amend these terms and conditions at any time, without prior notice.
