As part of our representation review, you said you wanted more opportunities to get involved and more relevant course and community-level voices, whatever your background or experience.
So, we introduced more paid, flexible and diverse student leadership roles than ever before.
In February, your votes elected our 2 full-time Officers, and now we’re delighted to announce your part-time Officers to you!

What will PTOs be doing?
Part-time officers work alongside their studies to represent students and improve the things that impact your day-to-day experience. They will be:
1. Working on key student issues, from education to wider student life
2. Listening to feedback and turn it into action
3. Collaborating with Guild teams and the University
4. Leading projects, campaigns, and initiatives
5. Making sure student voices are part of decision-making
How can I get in touch?
Officers will be starting their roles in September, and we’ll let you know the best ways you can get in contact with them soon!
How were PTOs recruited?
Part-time officers were recruited through a fair and transparent process designed to find students who can represent others effectively. Applications were reviewed and shortlisted, followed by an assessment centre. Final appointments were made by a panel of staff and student representatives, based on skills, experience, and potential.
