You’ll need to create an account with us and then you can browse our list of societies and add memberships to your basket to purchase.
As many as you like! We’d recommend starting with 2-3 societies, to make sure you can fit in events and society activities alongside your studies.
Sports Clubs are run by the Athletic Union and Exeter Sport, head to their website for more details on how you can get involved with social sport and competitive sports.
Yes! You’ve got a 4‑week cooling‑off period from the start of the autumn term. If you decide the group isn’t for you during this time, you can get a full refund through the Activities team - no stress.
After those four weeks, refunds aren’t automatic. Any refund would need to be agreed by the student group committee and, if approved, would usually be pro‑rata (based on how much of the year is left), minus any costs already spent.
You’ll need to be a society member to put yourself forward to be on that committee, look out for more details about Society Elections in Term 2.
Yes! You’ll need to purchase an Associate Membership first. Once your account is confirmed, you can purchase your associate memberships from each society page.
We know that multiple memberships and going to events can really add up, which is why we’ve got a Society Hardship Fund. You can apply to this fund to receive a one of £50 contribution towards memberships, stash or events. Check your eligibility and find out how to apply.
Each society offers different benefits as part of their membership. However, there may be additional costs to attend classes, events and take part in organised activities, and for society stash (clothing).
No worries! Drop us a message, and we will help you out.
